My "About" Page

So, there is this new "About" Page thing on Etsy. Apparently it's important to let the shopper/viewer see you and your shop, and I agree! My good friend Colin Lyons & his girlie Katie came over to take some pics of me & my "shop", and all I had to do was make dinner! Seriously, what a deal :)

New and improved shop page here!

Do yourself a favor and hire him for your wedding, you won't regret it! Also, if you look hard enough you can find me in some of the wedding pictures!

I've Grown Accustomed to You, Friday.

It's Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday! (Sorry I know it's old, but I had to get that out.)

Ah, Friday... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. It means 2 whole days away from this hell hole... um, I mean... work.

In other news, I saw The Muppets "Stuffed and Unstrung" last night with my parents and husband (shout-out to mom for getting the tickets!) I love The Muppets so much. It was amazing to see the puppeteers perform with the puppets, and not to mention HILARIOUS!!! Check it out if you get the chance, it's worth it! It's also an adults-only show. So, sorry kiddies! You gotta stay home, ha ha! (In Nelson voice)

In Etsy news, I think I have an idea for my next project... Stay tuned for more artwork coming your way!

Pressure Point

This morning I woke up with the song "Pressure Point" by The Zutons in my head. Maybe because I heard it on Teen Mom the other day, or maybe because that's exactly how I'm feeling. Yes... I'll go with the latter.

I'm trying to start my own business. I'm sick of working on someone else's schedule (isn't everyone though?). I've been making invitations and such for friends & family ever since I graduated college... Everyone loves them so why not try to do it full time, right?

So that's what I'm going for. A little business where I can draw cute/fun/happy things all day and not have to deal with the stress of a boss, or being told when I can take a vacation, or go to lunch. I only have one life. Why waste it in an office 40+ hours a week?

My goal is to post 100 things in my Etsy shop in hopes of increasing my sales dramatically. YES. ONE HUNDRED. In the Etsy world I guess that isn't a lot. I see shops with well over 100 items all the time. But for me that seems insane. Right now I have 33 items, and that took a while to build up to. 67 more to go??? AHHHHH!!! I better get drawing.
